Nexus 4 is a terminal that provides good features is nothing new. His performance is very good, because LG has integrated in its interior a SoC of four cores and 2 GB of RAM memory. Therefore, it is not surprising to get good scores on different tests. But does the same thing with autonomy?

In GSMArena have asked the same question and, for this reason, have been subjected to this terminal to its known tests to assess their autonomy and, in this way, buy it with that offered by other models on the market. And, the truth is that the results obtained are... neither cold nor heat, i.e. that they remain in a term average. I then provide two really results explanatory of what is capable of giving Yes Nexus 4 from Google.

The battery and the SoC are two essential components that are "guilty" of a better or worse autonomy (apart from size and screen technology). In this case, the first involving Nexus 4 holds 2,100 mAh (lithium-polymer) and for the processor, includes a model of Qualcomm that uses a 28 nmmanufacturing technology, which means that it has to be very efficient.

The first of the tests that we offer and their corresponding computer graphics is in which is valued the time which can be sailing without any reload. Here the new model of Google Gets a poor result, as it reaches only 4 hours and 34 minutes... far below obtained by iPhone 5 (best of all) and Samsung Galaxy S3 which reaches 6 hours and 27 minutes with OS Jelly Bean. The truth is that I was expecting something much better.

Another interesting tests that can be done to the current devices, since they offer great multimedia options, is the time that allows you to play videos continuously. Here while allowing the phone manufactured by LG comes 4 hours and 55 minutes. Does not reach to Motorola RAZR MAXX, which is unbeatable but again stays away from his rivals on the market: 5 iPhone offers 10 hours and 12 minutes and Galaxy S3 (JB) 9 hours and 27 mins. I.e. that is exceeded with clarity.



In short, that the expectations that had been created with regard to the lithium polymer battery (instead of lithium-ion) has not responded... much less. And truth, if what is capable of offering as autonomy is what is seen in Nexus 4... the thing looks nothing well.
